events and workshops

There are regular events held throughout the year, such as Winter and Summer Programs for students. There are also one-off events and workshops, such as candle-making, musical guests, hula lessons, World Awareness Day, Dia de Mexico, England Day, singing-bowl sound drawing, the UN Workshop, and Book Talk. We’ve run programs such as Hundertwasser, Mindful Learning, World Indigenous Cultures and Diversity, Mexico, New Zealand, Yemen, Ireland, Greece, India, Turkiye, Africa, and Nordic Europe camps. Attendees left with a new perspective and understanding of how the world around them operates, creates, and coexists.

KORU is more than a library. It is a slow, mindful space where books, art, and people meet. Through picturebooks, literature, nature, and creativity, we nurture empathy, imagination, and a deeper

understanding of self and others.
